What Is T25
T25 is a home workout routine designed by Shaun T and produced by Beachbody. The premise of T25 is to work smarter in only 25 minutes a day, 5 days a week. T25 is divided in 3 phases, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. Each workout has a modifier, and zero breaks, so if you are feeling winded, or need to slow down, you can easily adjust to follow the modified moves.
Since the workout is designed to reach a wider audience than Insanity, or Insanity: Asylum, the moves are setup to allow anyone, beginners and fitness experts, to get as much as they want out of the routine. Each move is a timed move, meaning you won’t hear Shaun T telling you “10 more reps!”. Instead you will hear, 5 more seconds!. This means you can literally do as many reps as you want within the time slot. I prefer this as some days I find myself lagging behind, so my intensity varies. Some days I’m spot on and feel like superman, so I do more and push myself harder.
T25 comes on the heals of the Insanity programs, and as such many people like to compare the two. When Shaun T was asked about the differences he said that they are totally different workouts. T25 is geared toward those that don’t have a lot of time, want something a little less intense, and something that’s less impact. Insanity is insane, literally, but it’s a great cardio workout that really pushes you.
Who Is T25 For
T25 is for a much wider audience than Insanity, or even P90x3 and P90X. T25 doesn’t require equipment until the Beta phase, and even then you can easily get by with resistance bands. It only requires 25 minutes a day, 5 days a week, which is really nice. The moves aren’t high impact, though there is quite a bit of hopping around, and it’s a fun workout that will really give you results.
So with that I would feel comfortable saying T25 is a great beginner workout. The modified moves are very doable, and will give you a great workout on their own. If you watch Tonia, the modifier, she breaks out in a sweat every time, so you know she’s getting a good workout, yet her moves are extremely low impact.

What Does the T25 Schedule Look Like?
The schedule consists of 3 phases, Alpha, Beta, Gamma. The first phase, Alpha, runs for 4 weeks and alternates between Cardio, Total Body, Ab Intervals, Lower Focus, and Speed 1.0. Once you complete Alpha you move on to Beta, and if you buy the Deluxe pack, you can move into Gamma which gets pretty intense with weights.

The 25 Nutrition guide comes packed with 25 recipes, each with 5 ingredients, so they are very easy to make, and are all very healthy and geared toward giving you the energy you need to complete the workouts, as well as to lose weight and firm up your body.
